NEWSMAX - “Deep State” author Jerome R. Corsi, who narrowly escaped indictment at the hands of special counsel Robert Mueller during the Russian-collusion probe, told Newsmax in an exclusive interview Thursday he believes former FBI Director James Comey and other high-level FBI and Justice Department officials
will face criminal charges related to the surveillance of Trump campaign operatives in 2016.
Jerome Corsi also added: “If I was Comey, I would advise him to get a top criminal lawyer right away. I think he’ll be facing criminal charges.”
At a Senate subcommittee hearing Wednesday, Barr — defending his decision to order a review of the Trump-Russia probe’s origins — said government “spying” on Trump’s 2016 campaign “did occur” and raised questions about inappropriate surveillance and whether the FBI followed its own rules.
Barr later added, “I have no specific evidence that I would cite right now, I do have some questions about it. I have concerns about various aspects of it.”
In his defence, Former FBI Director James Comey said Thursday that he had “no idea” what Attorney General William Barr meant when he testified that he believed the government spied on President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign.
