New bombshell report on the so-called anti-Trump dossier could have many top FBI and DOJ officials fired. According to John Solomon, then senior Justice Department official Bruce Ohr cautioned FBI and DOJ officials back in 2016 that the Steele dossier was connected to Clinton campaign and is likely biased and unverified. But his warnings fell on deaf ears.
The FBI and DOJ officials still went on to lie to the FISA court while presenting the dossier as a basis for spying on Trump’s campaign adviser Carter Page with claims that the dossier was reliable despite warnings from Bruce Ohr that Chris Steele, author of the unverified dossier was desperate for Trump not to be elected.
According to Fox News, Rep. Adam Schiff’s team, then minority on the House Intelligence Committee, issued a false statement alleging that Ohr’s contact with the FBI did not begin until “weeks after the election and more than a month after the court approved the initial FISA application.” This false statement was said to counter the claim that the unverified dossier had a role to play in the decision to investigate Trump’s campaign.
Should Adam Schiff be called for questioning?
