The Department of Justice released special counsel Robert Mueller’s long awaited report on Thursday morning. The report which only included “limited” redactions, according to Attorney General William Barr detailed his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 US election.
President Donald Trump might be claiming vindication with the release of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s Russia report, but House Democrats are moving forward with their investigations of him and people in his orbit. Democrats quickly expressed their dissatisfaction with how much information Attorney General William Barr redacted from the report released Thursday.
Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) continued to spread Trump-Russia conspiracy theories in a press conference Thursday afternoon just after the release of Mueller’s 448-page report.
According to Schiff: “There was an extensive campaign by the Russians to interfere in our elections in 2016 those efforts were designed to help one party, Donald Trump, but hurt another, Hillary Clinton. Whether these acts are criminal or not, whether the obstruction of justice was criminal or not…they are unquestionably dishonest, unethical, immoral and unpatriotic and should be condemned by every American.
Schiff went on to say: The facts that are now established by this report are damning, The standard cannot simply be that you can do anything you like so long as you can declare at the end of the day, ‘I am not a crook.’ If the special counsel…had found evidence exonerating the president, he would have said so. He did not….The acts of obstruction whether they are criminal or not are deeply alarming. He left that issue to the Congress of the United States, and we will need to consider it.
I wonder why Democrats are so blind to see that Barr and Rosenstein concluded that Trump did not obstruct justice after reviewing Mueller’s ’10 episodes’ of potential obstruction.
Because they are facing an existential threat and all their abuses if power and crimes against humanity are going to be exposed
This IS America, so therefore, yes Mr. Schiff for brains, the standard is EXACTLY that you can do anything you want as long as at the end of the day you can declare "I am not a crook" because I did nothing illegal.
Furthermore, who are you to bring up morality or ethics when you, a quintessential swamp creature, have none? You spent over 2 years repeatedly lying about having some "smoking gun" proof that the POTUS had "colluded"(a term that has no legal definition & is therefore the perfect shield behind which to hide - since no one can prove you had misconstrued the legal meaning of a term with no legal definition - while throwing rocks at the president and "obstructing" his ability to do his job. You have never shown this "evidence" because you do not have it. You are a shameless, brass-faced, irredeemable liar. I dare you to show your "evidence" and prove me wrong.
The facts established by the report that the President and those sssociated with him are so clean legally and ethically, are so the opposite of the swamp rats both cheerleading and conducting the investigation, that after $35 million of taxpayer money wasted to investigate them down to the atomic level, neither guilt of "collusion" nor any other REAL wrongdoing, was found, and these facts are "damning". Schiff for brains is a jack with long ears. Hint: not a jack rabbit.
Now, the justice department must investigate the long and sordid trail that led to this attempted coup against a sitting POTUS otherwise no president from now on will never be able to act independently, but will always have to hedge his actions and words so as not to "piss off" swamp rat deep state actors who will launch a bogus investigation to destroy his or her presidency.
